Primitivo ‘Primo’ Manrique, 96, died Thursday, Jan. 13 at his Modesto home.

He was a native of Oakdale. He lived in Modesto for 65 years.

Mr. Manrique was a peach farmer for 65 years.

He is survived by his children, Robert Manrique of Mountain Ranch, Louise Vargas of Modesto, Richard Manrique of San Mateo, Shirley Lopez of Morgan Hill, Beverly Vargas of Modesto, James Manrique of Modesto, Charles Manrique of Modesto; one sister; four brothers; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

A rosary was held Jan. 18 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Mass was Jan. 19 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial was at Oakdale Citizens Cemetery.
