Norma June Mahaney was born January 29, 1930 in Norman, Oklahoma to parents Hollis and Virgie Linn. She died May 9, 2022 after a short illness at 92 years old. June was the oldest of six siblings. The family settled in Oakdale in 1945. She graduated from Oakdale High School in 1948 and remained in the Oakdale area ever since.

June married Dean (Shorty) Mahaney in 1949 and together they had four children. Laurel, Phyllis, Richard and Gail. June loved her family and cherished hosting family gatherings. She was very close to her siblings, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her husband Dean, brother Ronnie Linn, sister Coann Hogwood and daughter Laurel. She is survived by brothers, Jack Linn, Rudy Linn, and sister Janelle Forgey. She is also survived by her children Phyllis, Richard and Gail; her seven grandchildren Scotty Feichter (Lacy), Kira Earhart (Nathan), Jill and Ricky Mahaney, Leah Arnold, Jared and Rachel Ronngren and four great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the home of Mike and Jeanne Holman, 10037 Sierra Road, Oakdale.
