Merle Milo Schlageter, 88, of Oakdale passed away on Dec. 27, 2009 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House, Hughson.

He lived in Oakdale for 30 years. He and his wife were active in the Round Robins round-dance club, and he also enjoyed square dancing, RV camping, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Schlageter; son, Darrell Schlageter; stepsons, Daniel Hilton, Jeffrey (Judy) Hilton, Scott Hilton; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23 at the Oakdale Grange Hall on the corner of F and Lambuth.
