Matthew James Ude, 41, of Oakdale died Monday, March 18.

He was a lifetime resident of Oakdale and was disabled due to his battle with MS, multiple sclerosis. He had a caring and giving heart and was always trying to help others.

He is survived by his parents, father James (Jim) and Phyllis Ude of Waterford, mother Betty and Paul Lewis of Oakdale; and a sister, Kimberly Ribeira.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, L.K. Ude, in February 2013.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m. at the home of Paul and Betty Lewis in Oakdale.

Remembrances may be made to the M.S. Society.
