John Henry Duncan, 89, died Thursday, Nov. 11 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House.

He was a native of Oklahoma and lived in Oakdale 15 years.

Mr. Duncan served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He worked as a mechanic and was a member of Operating Engineers Local #3.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred L. Duncan of Oakdale; children, Linda Brown of Oakdale, Johnny Duncan of Antioch, Billy Duncan of Riverbank; sisters, Maxine Hansen, Eva Davis, both of Oregon; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18 at the chapel with burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Remembrances may be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356.
