Jewell Eddie Laughlin, 95, died Friday, Oct. 12 at Oak Valley Care Center, Oakdale.

She was born in Cowlington, Okla., the eldest of 12 siblings born to Claude and Margaret Hess.

She married Bonnie Laughlin in 1933, in Spiro, Okla. and they had three children, Martha, Barbara and Carol. She was a resident of Oakdale since 1975.

She is survived by her daughters, Martha (Don) Trammell of New Mexico, Carol Amstutz of Modesto; sister, Correne (Sam) Moore of Oklahoma; special nephew/son, Calvin (Anna) Amos of Oakdale; brother-in-law, Jack Baxter of Modesto; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, a nephew-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bonnie; daughter, Barbara (Jack) Webster; her parents; granddaughter, Brandy Amstutz; niece, Sue Taylor; five brothers and five sisters.

A viewing will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel with funeral following at 2 p.m., also at the chapel, with Pastor Fred Wood of the Riverbank Free Holiness Church officiating.
