James D. Broedlow, 67, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014.
He was born in Salinas, CA on June 18, 1946 and lived in Watsonville until 1981 when he moved to Modesto. He lived in Oakdale until his death.
His working career included medical gas sales, office management and banking. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam conflict.
He was a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan and a season ticket holder for 44 years. He was chosen to carry the 2012 World Series flag onto the field and present it to Bruce Bochy.
Survivors include his wife Diane; his mother Frances; daughters Kimberly Mensonides (Peter), Heather Brew (Mike); son James (Beverly); and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert and sister Pat.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17 at 12:30 p.m. at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella Village. A celebration of life will be hosted on Friday, July 18 at 3 p.m. at Kimberly and Peter’s home, 4630 W. Tuolumne Road, in Turlock.
