Irene S. Butcher passed away at home on August 13 with spouse of 63 Years by her side.
Irene was born in Elgin, IL to immigrant parents Steve and Susie Vranka of Hungary. Irene worked in the insurance field and as a nurse’s aide. She retired in 1995, after 20 years of employment at McHenry Medical Group.
She was preceded in death by sisters Virginia Jensen and Elvira Fish, son Mark Butcher and grandson Jeremy Palmer.
Cleo and Irene lived a beautiful life together with children Janet Palmer (John) Linda Doerge (Ron) Mark Butcher (Angie) Sandy Ichord (Mark) and Susan Butcher. As well as grandchildren Jeremy Palmer, Jennifer Pinheiro (David), Justin and Jordan Palmer, Kris and Will Ichord, Michael Goad and seven great grandchildren. They loved living their retirement years in Mi-Wuk where they enjoyed the fresh mountain air and hosting lots of friends and family for wonderful homemade meals.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church, 1111 E. A St., Oakdale CA.
Their final resting place will be at the San Joaquin National Cemetery in a private interment.
