Helen Evans, 98, born in Helmer, Indiana  passed away Nov. 17, 2014 of natural causes in Oakdale, CA. Helen resided at the Oak Valley Care Center for four years.

Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years Don, their daughter  Marlene, her parents Richard and Mary Kohls, three brothers and one sister.

Helen is survived by five daughters, Joan (Ken) Casper, Cathy (Wayne) Kindred, Susan (Ben) Ruthman, Ann Austin and Irene Eddy; nine grandchildren, Steven Kindred, Judge Stanley (Karen) Boone, Brian (Gina) Ruthman, Marlo Geis, Davis (Brenda) Kindred, Sandi (Ron) Smith, Catherine Austin, Christine (Jose) Perez, Amanda Eddy; 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; 2 sisters, Orda Carlisle and Irene Brown.

Services are on Friday November 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Grass Valley, Ca. Arrangements are through Oakdale Riverbank Memorial Chapel. The family would like to thank Oak Valley Care Center for the loving care of Helen and her husband Don.
