George Irvin Malone went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 84 years old. George was born September 4, 1939, in Merrimac, Kentucky to his parents Hugh and Betty Malone. He graduated from Davidson High School in Davidson, Michigan in 1958 and immediately joined the United States Marine Corps serving our country for six years.

On November 4, 1961, he married Geraldine Wright. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine, son Marc (Stacy) Malone; three grandchildren, Kourtney (Jason) Debenedetto, Jessica (Matthew) Menefee and Tyler Malone; and three great-grandchildren, Mila Debenedetto, Eli, and Elle Menefee.

George was best known for his unmatched work ethic and friendly, ornery demeanor. After his service in the Marine Corps, George worked for Shell Oil and Wright Way Transportation. In 1965, George started his own business, Malone Trucking. It was the perfect outlet for his work ethic, grit, and determination. Upon his retirement, he continued working for Hedgecock Paving until retiring a second time in 2021. George and his family moved to Texas in 2021. George loved to work, and he continued to work on the family ranch. He could always be found working out on the property or organizing tools in the barn. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas.

In accordance with his wishes, his final resting place will be in Bryan, Texas.
