Flora Rissetto, 89, died on Friday, Jan. 14 after a long illness.

She was born in Guadalajara, Mexico to Augustine and Maria Sandoval. She lived most of her life in the Riverbank/Oakdale area.

She married Albert Rissetto in 1946 and they owned a peach and walnut ranch in Oakdale that she continued to run with her two sons after her husband’s death.

Mrs. Rissetto especially enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was happiest when her home was filled with family and friends enjoying the dinners she cooked.

She is survived by her sons, Abby Rissetto and Ray Rissetto, both of Oakdale; nephew, Jack Rissetto of Modesto who lived with Flora and her husband through his high school years; brother, Sammy Sandoval of Riverbank; sister, Carmen Green of San Bernardino; a grandson; six granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Rissetto; granddaughter, Holly Rissetto; grandson, Ryan R. Rissetto; and five brothers.

A funeral will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 14. Private burial will follow.
