Edith Viola Silva “Tootie”

March 23, 1935 – September 20, 2014

     Born in Indian Springs, Maryland to Mary Edith and Ralph Willard Dick. She came to Oakdale, CA with husband Joseph in 2000.

     Edie is survived by her loving husband Joseph Silva, daughter Victoria Sprankle; sons Vincent (Karen) Sprankle, Keith (Jane)Dick; step-children Joseph (Michelle)Silva III, Denny (Christie)Silva; grandchildren Samantha M., Niki, Michael, Mitchell, Matthew, Madison Kyle, Trevor. 12 nieces and nephews. She is also survived by siblings Pauline Minnick, Wanda George, Ralph Ray, James “Jimmie” and Kenneth. Preceded in death by her parents and siblings Tawaka Shirah, Beverely Dick and brother Larry.

     Edie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved puzzles, yard sales, gardening, reading and Nascar. She was a passionate animal lover. She was the matriarch of the family. She will be dearly missed and remembered forever.
