Earl Lloyd Giddens, 88, died Monday, May 26.

He was born in Cherryvale, Kan. By age four, he had moved to Ceres with his parents and seven siblings.

After graduation from Ceres High School, Earl he and his wife Evelyn moved to Oakdale, where they raised their two children and where he worked as parts manager for the local Chevrolet dealer.

Mr. Giddens and his wife were dedicated Christian believers and were among the founding members of River Oak Grace Community Church in Oakdale. They moved to Idaho in 2006 to be close to their children.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn; daughter, Judith (Lester) Tischmacher; son, Stephen (Fay) Giddens; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service was held May 30 at the Giddens’ home in Jerome, Idaho.

Remembrances may be sent to St. Luke’s Home Care and Hospice, 708 Shoshone St. North, Twin Falls, Idaho.
