Doug Grossarth, 50, died Sunday, Aug. 1.

He grew up in Friday Harbor, WA.

Mr. Grossarth spent his years building his life with his wife, daughter, and father in Oakdale.

He was an avid golfer.

He was a loved husband, father, and friend. His wisdom guided his family and his gifts were treasured. His intense and lasting compassion was valuable beyond measure, with the greatest example being the donation of his kidney to his brother. He was a mentor, a jokester, a lover, and a good dancer.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; daughter, Kaela; and father, Karl, all of Oakdale.

A celebration of life was held on his “Fairways to Heaven” at Stevinson Ranch Golf Club and at the San Juan Golf and Country Club.
