Dorothy Katherine Linder, 91, died Saturday, March 5 at Crossroads Manor in Riverbank.

She was born in Oakdale to William and Eva Fogarty and was a lifelong resident. She had been at Crossroads Manor for over four years. Her grandfather settled outside of Oakdale in 1864.

Mrs. Linder was in banking and was a housewife. She was a loving and supportive mother who never missed a swim meet or sporting event for her children. She loved her family and friends.

She was a member of two bridge clubs in Oakdale. She enjoyed playing the piano. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

The family appreciates Jerry, Czarina, and Rene Caparros of Crossroads Manor who provided loving care to Mrs. Linder during her final years.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Anne Linder; son, John Thomas (Christine) Linder; brother, Harold Fogarty; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pershing ‘P.T.’ Linder; her parents; and siblings, Maureen Cavanaugh and William Fogarty.

A rosary will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 11 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A celebration of her life will be at the H-B saloon following the graveside ceremony.
