Doris LeDonne, 90, died July 17 in Santa Rosa.

She was born in Inglewood and lived in Knights Ferry for 40 years.

Mrs. LeDonne was the former proprietor of the Washington Hotel. She spent 40 years working on preservation and reconstruction of Knights Ferry’s buildings and historical significance.

She is survived by her children, Jo deBenedictis of Santa Rosa, Paul James deBenedictis of Menlo Park, Juliana Cherry of Kauai, Hawaii; brother, James R. Gillium of Roswell, Ga.; and grandchildren, Robyn Harrington, Julien and Anna deBenedictis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward LeDonne.
