Doris Endsley, 86, died Thursday, Feb. 28.

She was a native of Hayward. She lived in Oakdale since 1959.

Mrs. Endsley was a salesperson for S.H. Kress, Moss Stores, and Goldman’s, all of Oakdale, as well as J.C. Penney, Harley’s department store, was Deputy City Clerk for the City of Oakdale, and was Office Manager for Endsley Electric.

She was a member of Calaveras Timber Trails, Hayward Area Historical Society, V.F.W. Auxiliary to Post 9679 Waterford, and the American Association of Retired Persons.

She is survived by her sister, Eva Jeanette Piminted of San Leandro; granddaughter, Denise Marie Greule of Los Molinos; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Joseph Endsley; and daughter, Diane Marie Endsley Farrell.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 7 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Oakdale. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park in the Garden of Honor, Hughson.
