Dale L. Wolfe

Dale L. Wolfe, 76, died peacefully on Friday, May 23 at River View Manor, Oakdale.

He was born in Marion, Ind.to Robert and Helen Wolfe. He grew up in the small community of Converse, Ind. After graduating from Converse High School, he attended and obtained a B.S. in Dairy Manufacturing from Purdue University in 1959 and an M.S. in Ag Business from Colorado State University in 1963.

Mr. Wolfe worked for Bank of America for 30 years as a loan officer, assistant manager and manager of two branches. He also worked for six years as a branch manager for Delta National Bank, retiring in 2000.

In June 1964 he married Margaret McNitt of Monte Vista, Colo. and they had two children.

He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Oakdale Lions, and a 4-H leader for 15 years. He enjoyed going to animal auctions several times a week, attending local high school sports, fishing, collecting antique banks, square dancing, and traveling.

He was very proud of his three grandchildren, Macey Jordan, and Katrina Creek. His last trip he was able to attend a sporting event for each child and was very happy that they also enjoyed sports almost as much as he did.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Kristie (Kieran) Creek, Rob Wolfe; sister, Elizabeth (Jerry) Oren; cousins, Norman (Jackie) Wolfe, Nelson (Jean) Wolfe; and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of live will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, June 12 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1600 Carver, Modesto.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Heifer International; Trinity Presbyterian Church memorial fund; or a charity of your choice.
