Caryl Fay Schot-Witt, 92, died Friday, March 1 at The Wach Inn Adult Foster Care in Grants Pass, Ore.

She was born to Ernest and Donna Havens in Oakdale and was a former resident of Oakdale.

Mrs. Schot-Witt worked as a bookkeeper in Watsonville from 1946 to 1975. She moved from Paradise to Oregon in 2005.

She was a member of Rebekah’s in Santa Cruz, Paradise, and also Grants Pass, Ore. She was also a member of the VFW in Paradise and the Moose Lodge in Grants Pass, Ore.

She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Ernest Sanford of Grants Pass, Ore.; stepson, Tom Schot of Santa Cruz; stepdaughters, Jane Nadeau of Kansas City, Mo., Joan Schot of San Jose; five grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leroy C. Sanford, Anthony H. Schot, and Sterling Jack Witt.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 7 at Stephens Family Chapel, Grants Pass, Ore., with Pastor Ken Bern officiating.
