Barbara passed away on September 27th at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto, California after a short illness, surrounded by family.
Barbara was born to Mark and Iva Anderson on October 8, 1928 in Fresno, California. Barbara lived in the rural Fresno area and graduated from Washington Union High School in 1946. She attended Reedley JC, studying to become an RN for two years. Barbara was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 30 years.
While visiting her sister, Ethel Washburn, in Oakdale, she met Warren Clipper. One year later they were married on April 9, 1949 at the First Baptist Church in Fresno, California. Barbara and Warren moved into their Oakdale home as bride and groom where they lived for 63 years. Barbara had a strong Christian faith all her life demonstrated by her love for family and friends. She was a remarkable homemaker and enjoyed cooking gourmet dinners for family holidays and birthdays.
She was remembered for her giving and loving spirit and care for her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She leaves behind her husband, Warren; her two sons Dave Clipper and Dan Clipper (Lee); three grandchildren Whitney Elizondo (Michael), Courtney Winter (Andrew) and Justin Arnold; and four great- grandchildren Ethan, Lincoln and Sadie Elizondo and Rex Winter.
Visitations will be October 7th from 3pm-7pm at the Oakdale Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be October 8th at 11:30am at the Oakdale Memorial Chapel, 830 West F Street. A celebration of life will follow the memorial service at Graceful Living Care Home, 580 Buckaroo Court in Oakdale.
