Antone Scott Dutra was born May 7, 1958 in Los Angeles CA. Tony passed away peacefully in the presence of family in Oakdale March 12, 2019. He was preceded in death by his father, Antone J. Dutra and mother, Betty J. Dutra. Also preceding him was twin sister, Robin Diane Dutra. Survivors include sisters, Sharron Smedley, Mickie Bowman, Diane Dutra and brothers Kenneth Yant (Meryl), and Bill Dutra.
Tony began and completed his education in Oakdale. He enlisted and served briefly in the Navy. He lived almost entirely in Oakdale while working for various employers but enjoyed his employment as a warehouseman for JC Penney and was the tireless care provider for mother Betty during her lengthy illness. Tony enjoyed all sports with a special affinity for viewing NASCAR. His most telling personal trait was his love for his family and enjoying the many companionships he developed during his life.
He never forgot a friend and was always willing to assist those in need. Tony preferred not to have a formal service but he was sincerely appreciative of those who befriended and assisted him throughout his life. Our family also shares his appreciation.
