Tony was born in Taos, New Mexico and was a resident of Oakdale for 21 years. Tony loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and formerly served as a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. His favorite past-time was playing golf. His other hobbies included shooting pool, reading, and watching Westerns. He was a veteran of the US Army and worked as an Electroplater until his retirement.
On August 21, 2016 Tony passed away at UCSF Medical Center after his battle with cancer, he was 81 years old. Tony is survived by his beloved wife Shirley of 58 years, of Oakdale, CA.
Children (2): Son, Steve Padilla of Oakdale, CA; Daughter, Sherry (Jim) Kupper of Oakdale, CA.
Grandchildren (4): Dave Padilla of San Jose, CA; Shannon (Tim) Reimer of Shingle Springs, CA; Nikki (Johnny) Shatswell of Oakdale, CA; Stephanie Kupper of Oakdale, CA
Great-Grandchildren (3): Travis Reimer, Jake Reimer of Shingle Springs, CA; Payton Shatswell of Oakdale, CA.
Brother: Ben (Pat) Padilla of Roseville, CA as well as many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Amanda Padilla of Mountain View, CA.
A viewing will be held Thursday, September 1st from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. followed by a Vigil/Rosary from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Oakdale Memorial Chapel, 830 West F Street, Oakdale, CA.
A Mass will be held Friday, September 2nd at 12 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 89 North Oak Avenue, Oakdale, CA.
