Andrew Gene Jackson, 23, died Tuesday, Sept. 3.

He was born in Modesto and was raised in Oakdale.

He graduated from Oakdale High School in 2007, where he was involved in football, basketball, and track. He attended Modesto Junior College and Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo. He was enrolled in Auto Mechanic Technician School in Modesto when he passed.

Everyone who knew him, loved him.

He is survived by parents, Robert and Melinda Jackson of Turlock; father, Randal Richardson; brother, Eric Jackson of Turlock; grandmothers, Virginia Atwood of Modesto, Darlene Richardson of Modesto; and grandparents, Tom and Barbara Jackson of Ceres.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gene Atwood and Don Richardson.

Visitation was held Sept. 10 at Allen Mortuary, Turlock. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway, Turlock. A graveside will follow at 12 p.m. at Oaklawn Memorial Park, Oakdale.

A “Memorial Account for Andrew Jackson” has been set up at Valley First Credit Union, 2655 Geer Road, Turlock, CA 95382 to benefit his brother Eric Jackson.
