Amanda (Amy) Louise Luna, 32, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends on Tuesday, Sept. 3 after a long battle with cancer.

She was born July 31, 1981 in Oakdale, where she lived off and on for most of her 32 years.

She graduated from Escalon High School in Escalon in 1999.

She worked for Action Plumbing for 10 years, where she will be sorely missed.

She was a very dedicated single mother, who successfully spent most of her time and energy making sure her daughter Hannah was happy and healthy. She loved spending time with her family, walking a beach at the ocean, or camping in the mountains.

Survivors include her daughter, Hannah Luna; fiancé Matthew Sterling and his sons Cody and Aaron; mothers and fathers, Franci and Kenny Clark and David R. and Laura Luna; brother and sister-in-law David J. and Danielle Luna; nephew David B. Luna; grandparents Carol Wamsher and David C. and Helen Luna; and many more family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Farmington United Methodist Church, 25626 Elm St., Farmington on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m.
