Valley Home News 7-8-20

What a great blessing it is to live in our beautiful Valley Home! Celebrating the birthday of our great nation this 4th of July, Valley Home came alive with a sparkling nighttime tribute. We definitely live in an amazing, patriotic community. Earlier in the day we enjoyed a drive through of the neighborhoods of Oakdale, excited to see each of the 4th of July Decorated Home contest entries. Red, white and blue bunting, a liberty bell, flags in every size stood proudly on porches and fresh cut lawns. What a wonderful way to celebrate July 4th, 2020! It was a very special holiday. My granddaughter, Jenna surprised me with a homemade berry cobbler. I am blessed for sure. I have four grandkids, each with different personalities and attitudes, but all are kind hearted and caring. Cody, Cooper and Millie have just returned home after enjoying a very traditional Idaho 4th of July celebration. After an afternoon BBQ, our Idaho family took the kids to the old lumber mill in Emmett, Idaho for the sights and sounds of an evening of racing. The small rural community is known for its Saturday night racing. What fun! Later in the evening, the race track skies lit up with an hour long fireworks show from nearby Emmett. The kids had a great 4th of July while enjoying small town America with their Idaho family.
