This week’s column actually comes from much loved longtime Valley Home School bus driver and best friend to all who know her, Bonnie Gellerman, who asked that we share this with readers.

A letter from Bonnie:

Hi y’all, this is Bonnie on vacation in Texas! Not exactly the vacation I was hoping for but, you get what you get and don’t throw a fit! As most of you know I had broken a rib before I headed to Texas, figured I could get well in Texas, just as well as home ... had surgery the next day after arriving on plane, had a tumor on my spine, healing from that surgery in Texas, from there I will be going to City of Hope, cancer treatment, as they have found some cancerous spots on lungs.

So I am happy to report my granddaughter Maddie was third in state high school goats, and Kam, 12, junior high, second in goats.

I have so much love and support from our wonderful little town ... I have been blessed every step of the way. Keep me in your prayers; I love you all very much! Soon as I’m done with all this vacation fun I’ll be home, my spiritual armor is strong. Not done yet! If you’d like to write to me, please send in care of: Christy Miller, 33272 Mesa Vista Drive, Dana Point CA 92629.
