What a great way to celebrate a birthday, with just one year to go before I turn 70 years old, I was not really looking forward to my January 18th birthday! Wow! What a wonderful birthday it turned out to be! I am so grateful to each of you for the kind birthday wishes, each greeting meant the world to me! The icing on my birthday cake would be when longtime friends Marina and Mike James and my family took me to the Stanislaus County Sheriff SWAT Dinner, Saturday evening. It was a wonderful dinner, well planned with tons of great raffle items and a magnificent live auction, guns of every type, you name it and it was there. What a terrific time we all had! Auctioneer Travis Johnson from Western Prime Livestock and Auction Co. kept the bids moving and did an excellent job of creating excitement among the capacity crowd! The dinner, crab, shrimp, bread, pasta, and delightful dessert was absolutely amazing! Drinks were free, and enjoyed by a very appreciative crowd. Our server’s name was Denise and she did a wonderful job of keeping the pans of crab and shrimp piled high and coming our way! Stanislaus County Sheriff and SWAT team members also served tables and made sure all guests were well taken care of. It was an amazing night, I am grateful for everything our Law Enforcement does to keep us safe. I feel blessed that I was able to support them at this very special dinner. God Bless all Law Enforcement everywhere!
