Expanding local health services, Sutter Health has signed a lease to bring a new care center to Riverbank, marking the launch of more same-day care in the Central Valley.

Located at 1901 Claribel Road, the planned 10,000-square-foot location will offer:

An urgent care center featuring three clinical providers for walk-in illnesses, injuries and same-day needs, which will be open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7 a m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday;

A primary care clinic featuring two clinical providers to support routine care and prevention;

A diagnostic imaging center offering mammography and ultrasound.

The building will be constructed by the landowner. Once the building shell is complete, Sutter will begin interior improvements to prepare the space for patient care. The location is scheduled to open in fall 2026.

“This new Riverbank site will bring high-quality, convenient care closer to home—and help more patients get the right care, right away,” said Amber Campbell, CEO of Ambulatory Services for Sutter Health’s Greater Central Valley. “This expansion supports Sutter Health’s strategy to make care more connected and convenient throughout Northern California. In the Central Valley alone, Sutter has opened new care centers in Tracy, Manteca, Lathrop and Modesto in 2025—each designed to meet growing community needs and deliver on our promise of easier access to high-quality care.”

This location is one of 27 urgent care projects underway across Sutter’s footprint. By 2028, Sutter plans to open 19 new urgent care centers and enhance 32 existing locations—standardizing hours and services, as well as designing a more seamless patient experience. Sutter’s urgent care centers also strengthen care coordination, offering patients a clear path to follow-up care with primary and specialty providers across the system.
