Stanislaus Fire Board Reviewing Personnel
Stanislaus Consolidated

A scheduled Thursday, Feb. 7 meeting of the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District’s Personnel Committee has several discussion items on the agenda.

The session is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start at the Station 26 meeting room, 3318 Topeka St., Riverbank.

Among the topics to be discussed are: review of a revised draft for the Battalion Chief job description; a proposed Administrative Manager position, with a review of a new draft job description for that post as well.

The Fire Marshal position – which has been vacant since Oct. 22, 2018 – is slated to be discussed along with the recently vacated Operations Assistant position. That post has been vacant just since Jan. 30, 2019.

The panel will look at some potential administrative staffing solutions, which could include a six-month (January to June, 2019) hiring of a temporary Administrative Assistant II or the hiring of a permanent Administrative Assistant II/III to fill the vacancy.

Personnel Committee members are Stanislaus Consolidated Board President Susan Larson-Zanker, Director Michelle Guzman, Fire Chief Michael Whorton, Deputy Chief Michael Wapnowski, Battalion Chief Rick Bussell, Captain Derek Nichols, Local 3399 and Betty Hannah, Administrative Assistant III/Board Clerk.
