Slurry Project Prompts Street Closures
OC

Scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 24 and Friday, Oct. 25 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., the City of Oakdale will have a Slurry Seal Project in operation that will impact local streets.

City officials indicated that the East G Street and East J Street slurry projects are scheduled for those days. On East G Street the work will be done between East Avenue and Live Oak Way. On East J Street the work is scheduled to occur between Fifth Avenue and Buccaneer Avenue.

On Thursday, Oct. 24 traffic will be contained to the inside lanes with no on-street parking. On Friday, Oct. 25 the traffic will be shifted to the edges of the road and again, with no on street parking.

During construction there will be no detours but lane shifts will be in place and intersections within the project limits may be temporarily closed for short periods of time.

Drivers are encouraged to pay close attention to the signs and use caution in the work zone area, as there will be loose gravel on the roads. Reduced speeds should be used through the area.
