A Friday night Christmas tree lighting, vendors offering their wares, a mural dedication and the arrival of Cowboy Santa on Saturday were all part of a busy, festive start-of-the-holiday-season weekend in Oakdale.

Photos with Santa were part of the fun, along with holiday music, the sharing of stories and the making of new memories. Not to mention, checking off some names on the holiday gift list with unique finds at the Cowboy Christmas event.

Though not a ‘holiday’ icon, the famous bull Bushwacker now has his own mural in Oakdale and it was officially dedicated on Friday evening as Cowboy Christmas also was hosted in the adjacent Oakdale Town Plaza and Community Center.
