Robust Ticket Sales For Chamber’s ‘Taste’
o taste

If advance ticket sales are any indication, people are eager to get back out there to enjoy some sipping and sampling.

The 14th annual Taste of Oakdale, hosted by the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce, is coming up this month, scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 23. The tasting event begins at 5 p.m. and runs through 8 p.m. at the Gene Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave.

“Ticket sales are doing well so far, we are getting a lot of sales through online purchases,” Chamber Chief Executive Officer Trisha Brown stated.

The Taste of Oakdale is an opportunity for all community members to eat their way through the various types of food that Oakdale serves up on a regular basis. Many restaurants and food vendors from the area provide a wide range of samples – food and drinks – at the event, giving attendees the chance to explore the local food, wine and brew culture.

The event also offers the chance for small, local businesses to showcase their products to a new clientele.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door and are available for purchase online through the Oakdale Chamber website or at the Oakdale Chamber office, 590 N. Yosemite Ave., Oakdale.

The chamber is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
