Road Closure Tuesday Due To Jump Threats
opd

Oakdale Police Department officers responded to the 500 block of South Yosemite Avenue at mid-morning on Tuesday, July 9 for the report of an adult male subject threatening to jump off the rooftop of a building. Roadways were closed down temporarily but were reopened after a relatively short term closure at West J and South Yosemite.

Police officers from OPD along with the Modesto Fire Department and Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Hostage Negotiations Team were able to safely take the male subject into protective custody. The area was then reopened to pedestrians and vehicles.
