PLANS IN PLACE
third

The modified design plan for the proposed Third Avenue Reconstruction Project in downtown Oakdale got the go ahead from the city council on Dec. 20, following a final community meeting hosted on Dec. 15. Work is slated to begin immediately after Easter in April. Planning for the project has been ongoing for five years and will take approximately four to five months to complete. City planners are actively working with businesses to help mitigate the inevitable disruptions that may occur during the reconstruction. One of the mitigating factors may include more night work to avoid business hour traffic.
