Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 4-28-21

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27 and 28 in Oakdale; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, April 20 through Monday, April 26. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, APRIL 26

12:47 p.m. – Crews responded for an injury accident on Claribel and Albers. One person was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

 

SUNDAY, APRIL 25

Crews in Oakdale trained on hose evolutions today at the High School.

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 24

Monthly Technical Rescue Team training was conducted with Truck 1, Truck 5 and Squad 11.

Annual hose testing was completed on Engine and Water Tender 27.

 

FRIDAY, APRIL 23

Crews conducted water rescue training on the Stanislaus River.

4:27 p.m. – Modesto Fire Department and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District responded to the 5000 Block of Squire Wells Way in Riverbank for a large exterior fire. It was quickly contained without any damage to structures. The Stanislaus County FIU is investigating.

11:18 p.m. – Modesto Fire Department and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District responded to the area of Claus Road and Plainview Road for the report of a vegetation fire burning along the canal. Crews spent 90 minutes extinguishing and overhauling the fire.

 

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21

The Technical Rescue Team conducted monthly training at Scenic and Claus roads.

Engine 28 and Battalion Chief 5 participated in an Ammonia Drill at the ConAgra facility on Yosemite Avenue in Oakdale.

6:46 p.m. – Engine 28, Engine 27, Battalion Chief 5 responded for a fall victim on 28 Mile Road. Patient was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital.

 

TUESDAY, APRIL 20

Boat 28 conducted training on the Stanislaus River.
