The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Oakdale, Knights Ferry and Valley Home; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, March 8 through Monday, March 14. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

SATURDAY, MARCH 12

2:30 p.m. – Engine 27, E26, T5, BC2 and BC5 responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Patterson and Bentley roads. Three vehicles involved; two immediate patients and two deceased. Air ambulance was utilized to transport one of the patients.

FRIDAY, MARCH 11

9:45 a.m. – Modesto and Stanislaus units responded to a working residential structure fire in the 500 block of F Street in Waterford. Crews contained the fire to a single room upstairs. No injuries were reported. Stanislaus FIU is investigating the cause.

2:20 p.m. – Modesto and Stanislaus units responded to a vegetation fire on River Road in Oakdale. The fire originated from the South side of the Stanislaus River and spotted across to the North side. The fire was contained to approximately two acres in total.
