Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 1-20-21

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27 and 28 in Oakdale; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, Jan. 12 through Monday, Jan. 18. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

MONDAY, JAN. 18

Unknown time – Engine 28 responded to a vehicle accident on Valley Home Road/Highway 120. Crews arrived to determine there to be no injuries.

1232 p.m. – Modesto and Stanislaus Consolidated fire units responded to a vegetation fire in Legion Park.

 

SUNDAY, JAN. 17

7:29 a.m. – Modesto and Stanislaus units responded to reports of a working structure fire on Roselle at Sylvan. Crews arrived on scene of a vacant house with a detached garage that was fully involved. The fire had extended to the exterior of a small outbuilding and the eaves of the house. Crews quickly contained the fire. No injuries were reported. MPD assisted with traffic control. FIU at the scene. Fire cause is under investigation.

5:32 p.m. – Modesto Fire Department responded to the intersection of 26-Mile Road and Valley Home Road for the report of a motorcycle down in the roadway. On scene crews found two occupants of a motorcycle in the roadway. A second vehicle was involved. One person was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries. CHP is investigating.

Modesto Fire assisted County Health in administering COVID Vaccine all day.
