Oak Valley Hospital CFO Wayne Mills abruptly announced his resignation as CFO of Oak Valley Hospital Wednesday afternoon, March 30. 2011.

The resignation comes on the heels of a contentious board meeting on March 23 where CEO John Friel's contract was not renewed. There was also dissension between governing board members regarding an appointment by Catholic Healthcare West representative Donald Wiley.

"It's a blow," said Board Director Jim Teter. "His expertise on finance and health care is above and beyond. You don't replace someone with those qualities easily."
