Oakdale-Riverbank Fire Calls 2.23.22
Portable Fire

The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Oakdale, Knights Ferry and Valley Home; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

Calls were logged during the time period of Tuesday, Feb. 15 through Monday, Feb. 21. Days not listed had no reports of significant incidents in this area.

 

SATURDAY, FEB. 19

2:53 a.m. – Modesto E28, E27, E7, T5, BC5 Stanislaus E26, E23, Q22 and BC2 responded to a reported classroom portable on fire on the grounds of Oakdale High School. E28 arrived on scene and found a fire on the exterior of the portable working its way into the interior. Crews knocked down the exterior fire and then moved to the interior of the portable to limit the spread. FIU was on scene investigating.

No time listed – E28, 27, 26, 23, 9, Q22, BC2 and BC5 responded for a fire in a commercial building in the city of Oakdale. On scene they had smoke and flames from a locked roll up door. E28 cut the roll up door to gain access and then quickly knocked down all fire. The fire was contained to a wall and some electrical supplies. All other parts of the business were undamaged.

 

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 16

Crews supported the Morgan Road incident.

 

TUESDAY, FEB. 15

Crews from throughout Modesto, Ceres, Stanislaus Consolidated, Turlock and Stockton Fire continued to overhaul the fire on Morgan Road. Strong winds in the early afternoon created a flare up that was contained to the recycling yard involved. Crews are expected to be on scene for at least another day monitoring the incident. Ceres PD and Public Works assisted with road closures and traffic control. The city of Modesto assisted with the use of a large loader to move debris.

5:10 p.m. – Engine 28, Stanislaus Engine 26 and BC5 responded to a motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment in the City of Oakdale. Engine 28 arrived to find two vehicles involved and began to check for injuries. Engine 28 confirmed two minor injuries with negative entrapment. OPD is investigating.

10:58 p.m. – Stanislaus Engine 24, Engine 23, Modesto Engine 29 and Stanislaus BC2 responded to a vehicle in a canal on Willms Road. Crews removed one patient from the vehicle with moderate injuries who was flown via air ambulance from the scene.
