Community Unity Gathering

A unity gathering is scheduled for this evening, Wednesday, Aug. 30, with all in the community invited to attend.

At 6:30 p.m., a diverse group of faith congregations and clergy will be gathering to promote connection and understanding between all members of the community. The Unity Gathering is being hosted by St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 2827 Topeka St. Riverbank.

Unify StanislaUS is an inclusive interfaith alliance with members from diverse religions, faiths and cultures. The Unity Gathering will be an opportunity to share with one another our unique heritage, religion, culture and faith with the goal of countering suspicion and hate with curiosity, respect, acceptance, connection and mutual support.

Unify StanislaUS members include: Faith in Stanislaus, Faith Temple Baptist Church, Hindu Temple of Modesto, Insight Meditation Central Valley, Islamic Center of Modesto, Modesto Seventh Day Adventist, SAACR - Stanislaus Asian American Community Resource, St. Paul Episcopal Church, Stanislaus Humanists, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Stanislaus County, Vietnamese Buddhist (Phc-Sn Buddhist Center), Bend the Arc - A Jewish Partnership for Justice.
