The sun rose through the pink tinted wispy clouds Easter Sunday to shine on the faithful assembled on Frymire Hill. Pastor Tanis, with his daughter and grandson, told of the appearance of his angel wife Sara Jean (mom, grandmother). She appeared to the grandson and daughter after the grandson was having trouble sleeping after Sara Jean’s death and the angel appeared and told him it was time for him to sleep in his own bed and led him there. They said it looked and talked like Sara Jean with a white robe and wings down to the ground. Makes a believer out of us!

The Oak Summit Assembly #128, Knights Ferry, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls traveled to Fresno for their annual convention known as Grand Assembly. The girls carried a very special banner in the parade as it had the covered bridge on it depicting their Knights Ferry heritage. Makena Mendonca was one of the 13 initiates. It was quite an honor to be selected and initiated at Grand Assembly by the Grand Officers. Mallory Baity was installed as Member of Grand Executive Committee Rainbow Banner Bearer as well as Grand Representative to Canada, Vermont and New Hampshire. The girls had an awesome time.

Gayle Diltz celebrated her 70th birthday by skydiving! She went to Byron to Bay Area Sky Diving where she suited up and went up 13,000 feet then jumped tandem with an instructor. Gayle liked floating around. They landed on their feet! It was quite an experience. Afterwards Don and Gayle joined family in Brentwood for dinner and birthday cake. Gayle has two more things on her bucket list, swimming with dolphins and doing a zip line.

Rattlesnake alert! Carol Davis chopped one up in her dog’s pen. Teddy (the dog) was barking and Carol grabbed the hoe. Also getting snakes were Michel Griesner by her deck and Jill McPhee on her driveway.
