At the Knights Ferry School board meeting there were a lot of concerned parents attending because of proposed cuts to teacher’s salaries and not the administration. The negotiations have been ongoing and nothing is settled. Under action items, the Board approved all. The API score for Knights Ferry was 823. Activities in the future are the Sixth Grade Outdoor Education Camp September 19-23. The annual Jog-a-thon will be October 14th.

Last Thursday the River’s Edge was very crowded, it was Open Mic night. They hope to have Open Mic once a month. Those participating will be on the Edge’s web site, theriversedgerestaurant.com. The Edge is pleased to announce that Friday, Saturday and Sunday they will be open to midnight.

Thanks to Linda and Beth for putting out the flags on Labor Day and Remembrance Day. They looked good. The Community Club will buy more to display on holidays. God Bless America!

The Eighth Grade students will hold a Pizza Night on Sept. 29th at Mountain Mikes from 5-9p.m. The students will work and part of the proceeds will go towards the 8th grade graduation funds.
