At the Knights Ferry Community Club meeting last Thursday, there were many great desserts. The meeting was a short one. Next meeting, a dinner meeting, Christie Camarillo will be the speaker.

Congratulations go out to Cyndy Davis of Orange Blossom Road, a winning artist in the Central California Art Show at the Mistlin Gallery in Modesto. Cyndy won a second and a third in the Acrylic/oil figure, still life, nonobjective. The show is open every Saturday through June 14.

The Knights Ferry Fire Station will not be accepting brush to burn from now until Fall.

Former Knights Ferry resident Jenni Abbott has the lead in the “Grapes of Wrath”, playing at the Gallo Center for the Arts. She plays Ma Joad in John Steinbeck’s classic.

The goslings at the Dolling’s pond sure are growing. There are two families and the parents keep a close watch over the babies.

Knights Ferry School’s talent show, dinner and bingo plans are coming right along. The hot dog/polish sausage dinner will start at 5:00 p.m. at the school. The Bovine Bingo goes until a bovine goes! The talent show starts at 5:45 p.m. and has an intermission. Dinner tickets can be purchased at school or at the door. Bovine bingo tickets are sold at the school office. Sounds like a fun evening!

Linda Morris felt something tickling in her ear and the q-tip popped out a spider! At least it didn’t bite her like the spider in Michael McKibban’s ear did.

Knights Ferry School Board will meet Thursday, May 10th at 6:00 p.m. at the school. A very large turnout is expected.
