At the MAC meeting last Thursday California Highway Patrolman Anthony Palazuelos told of a few more citations at the three way stop in the Ferry. He cautioned that auto thefts are up in Keyes and Denair and farm areas. This is possibly gang related as six were stolen in a day in Denair. He said to watch for people on bicycles as the gangs pay them for information on household activities. Anthony said if you see a person riding a bike and he doesn’t belong in the area, stop and ask what he is doing (in a pleasant tone). Also on the agenda was the A T& T addition to their building. They were drilling for soil samples and hit bricks, charged wood etc. They did not know that the area had been the County Courthouse in 1862-1872. It burned and the remains were pushed into the basement.

The Knights Ferry Overlook development by Nick Honchariw on Cemetery and Frymire Roads was passed by the Board of Supervisors after Honchariw sued them for turning him down the last time and won. The Supervisors did not like the project but said they could be sued again if they rejected it.
