There is going to be a Stamp Club meeting Saturday, February 16th at Miller’s Hall at 10:00a.m. Jordan and Alec Ray will give pointers on stamp collecting. Call 881-3353 if you have questions.

Knights Ferry School will have their annual Patriotic Assembly on Friday, February 15th in the cafeteria. Each class will show patriotism through song, poems and art. All are invited to attend.

Thanks to Ed Fortuny for mending the Baker’s Tent used during the Civil War reenactment.

It’s mating time for skunks. The males are roaming, and getting hit on the roads, looking for females. Dogs are also getting sprayed. Here again is the great recipe for de-skunking. One quart of hydrogen peroxide, one-third cup baking soda and one tablespoon liquid soap scrubbed on the dog (do not put water on yet) and leave for a few minutes then wash all off. It works better than tomato juice!

The tank of baby salmon is at the Army Corp Headquarters building. They will be on display then released to the river in March.

The Community Club dinner provided the gathering with a lot of good food and a few corny jokes. The upcoming Spaghetti Dinner plans were finalized. There is a need for raffle prizes. Call Kim at 847-7122.

The Knights Ferry Creamery is open Fridays through Mondays from noon to 5:00p.m. to satisfy your sweet tooth. Flavor of the week is Cotton Candy.

Knights Ferry had two alumni entered in the Distinguished Young Women of Oakdale contest, Alyssa Perigen and Taylor Kelly.

The PTC of Knights Ferry School is getting ready for their Silent/live auction and dinner to be held March 16th at the clubhouse. Tickets are on sale now for $30 at the school office.
