Oakdale Community Theatre presents “Oliver” and is directed by former Knights Ferry resident Jenni Abbott. Maddie Abbott has a part and so does Emma Fallentine. It runs through September 3rd.

The River’s Edge was hopping Sunday with Art at the Edge. “The Good Luck Thrift Outfit” played, as did Bethany Taylor and Cole Thompson. Bethany also had her line of children’s clothing for sale, Shelly Cimoli had paintings and Mary Joseph had “All You Need is Feed.” There was a big crowd and all were enjoying themselves. Friday night at the River’s Edge will be Karaoke Night. The restaurant is also going to be open Monday nights for football!

Main Street sprung a leak but it hasn’t been located just yet. It is under the road in front of the tennis court and Dave has been digging with his backhoe but hasn’t found it by the time this column was sent in.

There was one river rescue on Saturday and two on Sunday, keeping the fire department busy.

Dakota Voortman celebrated her 7th birthday with a family party on Sunday.

Welcome home from the hospital Jerry Dickens! The family would like to thank all for their thoughts and prayers while Jerry was recovering.

Community Club will meet September 1st at 7 p.m. for a dessert meeting. The upcoming (Oct.2nd) tennis court yard sale will be discussed.
