Scott and Marlene Zeigler were seen at the 50’s Roadhouse last Wednesday. They are back from Colorado.

Congratulations to another graduate. Sasha Sinkevich graduated from Chico State with a degree in nursing; she went through the Pinning Ceremony.

Thursday, January 14th is the Knights Ferry School board meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. It is open to all that are interested in the school.

On Friday, the 15th the 5-8 classes at KFS will be going skiing. There was no snow last year.

There will be no school on January 18th for Martin Luther King’s birthday.

Former Knights Ferry resident Jenni Abbott is doing a one woman show, “The Belle of Amherst”, the life of poet Emily Dickinson, at the Prospect Theater in Modesto on Jan. 17th.

There was a large turnout for the service for Alex Naccareto last Tuesday. Friends and family told many stories about Alex.

At the Community Club dinner last Thursday there was a lot of good food! But not enough people to vote on officers. Dues are due in March, $35 for family. Plans for the spaghetti dinner during the Civil War in March were discussed. The club needs donated raffle items. Lisa Dolling is handling the raffle. Carol Davis told of a donated Centennial Cookbook (1948) that a person in Sunnyvale found in a box of books he purchased. He looked up information on the Internet for the Knights Ferry Museum and sent the book to Carol. The money from the Centennial cookbook in 1948 made the addition of the kitchen area to the clubhouse possible.
