After last week’s chaos of a fire that backed up traffic on the highway and Orange Blossom, we had some out-of-town visitors light fireworks in the Army Corp river park area that started a smaller fire in the northern side of the park. The fireworks were heard by several locals in the area and it had the locals on edge when they heard the sirens in the area. Thankfully, our staffed fire station was able to contain the fire quickly! Thank you to all the locals who were on high alert and the fire crew who worked to keep our area safe.

I am very excited to get the crafting supplies ready for Vacation Bible School at the Knights Ferry Church! The program begins today, Wednesday, June 22nd through Friday, June 24th from 9am-12pm. Children do not need to attend all three days, we just want them to come and enjoy the morning! I look forward to reporting on the activities at the church but if you live in town, you might just hear the sounds of children singing from the church.
