Knights Ferry News 5-26-21
Nastasia Sweet

Last week most all roads in Knights Ferry except Main Street received newly laid rock and seal. The crews came one day to prep and sweep the streets and came back the following day with large trucks and tractors to work on the roads. It was quite chaotic because they began the process around 1pm and school dismissal is at 2:40pm. The crew was working quickly but had to be patient as all the cars lined up to pick up their kids from school! I heard the crews will be back in a week or so complete the roads. Until then, the road is a bit rocky.

School is ALMOST out for the summer at Knights Ferry School! The students are patiently waiting for the final school bell and Mr. Randy Russell is patiently waiting for his beautiful wife, Amanda to give word that their baby boy is coming.

As for the graduation details, each graduate is assigned a round table for their 8 family members to sit and watch the graduation ceremony. The kindergarteners will graduate on May 26th and the eighth graders will graduate on May 27th. Even though the graduation is not open to the public, it is wonderful that our small school is able to accommodate a few more family members for each graduate. Grandparents and siblings are an important part of a child’s life!
