At the Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) meeting the new Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Chief was introduced. He is Matt Daly and comes from Chicago. He is getting around the area to acquaint himself with the district. The California Highway Patrol officer was late. He was caught in the traffic mess at Woodward (Symbiosis). Traffic clogged all the roads and he had to escort the UPS person out of the mess. (Your reporter could hear the bass thump thump all the days). Some people were in line for three hours to get in. He reported no incidents in our area but handed out tickets for not stopping at the town stop sign and one for not having a child in a car seat. The Oakdale Rural Fire Board will meet in the Ferry October 25th at 10:00 a.m. in the clubhouse. The gate is up at the firehouse but need the façade installed. David Voortman reported the Stanislaus River cleanup had 85 people getting trash out of the river. They filled the dumpster.
